Modcloth Fraud???

I discovered this yesterday, while I was looking for new dresses at Modcloth. I love this store and their dresses and have ordered from them before. Yes, I am sad their stuff is a bit overpriced, but usually I think it's worth it because the items they get seem to be unique. But then I noticed this dress...
Very cute dress. I love the details and the top part folded over. Then I looked at it again. I own this dress. It's been in my closet since the beginning of December, when I went shopping in Chicago. I got it on a clearance rack at A'Gaci [I believe that's how it's spelled]. I paid maybe 10 bucks for it. The only difference is that mine is a dark green color but I'm shocked because in every other way the dresses are exactly the same. This store's prices are amazing. No dresses are 50 bucks, and this dress is on Modcloth.

It's not the best picture of the front of the dress but I made it big so you can see it. The top is folded down and the bottom detail is the same. Even the material, besides being a different color, appears to be the same type. I'm so sad. Modcloth clearly somehow got ahold of this dress and it is not unique and they marked the price way up. Not so sure if I'll feel right ordering from them again :/

The One Big Day!

It was recommended that I do a post on my Wedding! I love reading about weddings and mine was very exciting and recent so I think about it a lot. I wish I could relive it though and I am sad it's over. We had known each other since freshman year of high school, 2005 for me, he was a year older and a grade above me. We both had other people we were with, but we were best friends and always talked and flirted.
 Us in 2007

After high school we lost touch a little, but then got back into touch, and started dating. Things just flew by and we moved in together and became engaged, then set the date for August, 1st, 2010.

Some of our engagement photos
My parents helped pay for so much, we were so thankful and his parents helped a whole lot too, all of our families did. I insisted on getting married in the church my parents had gotten married, and the reception I wanted outside at first. But then I got worried about weather, and I found my dream place, a mansion all fixed up in town that you could use for such occasions. We decided to go to a beautiful lake near by for our honeymoon.

We honestly have a million photos but these sum up a lot of that day and hopefully entertain you. One of my sweet bridesmaids bought us all our hair to get done by another friend and my mom took all of us girls to get our nails done. We are superstitious a bit and he did not see me before the ceremony and my dad walked me down the aisle. My mom was my maid of honor. Our daughter was our flower girl and all the people in the wedding were everyone we'd grown up with. It was a beautiful day and I'm so thankful. Sorry this post is long but I seriously could go on and on. It was my special day.

Can't Wait!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We got a huge snow storm, which kind of hinders going out and taking outfit pictures. I've just pretty much stayed indoors and out of it. Also, I've been ordering some things online to complete some new, neat outfits. I'm still waiting for the shoes from the other day so I can't wait until they finally get here. But then today I ordered three other things, all from Forever 21.

The boots I had to get! I've been wanting some ankle cowboy boots and I loved the details on these. The lighter color sold out fast, but this darker brown works out well, I have ideas and belts to match. The pink striped dress was a last minute add on so I could get free shipping. It was like 12 bucks, and I liked it, it's casual and with a good belt, I think will work out well, especially this Spring. The third dress was a must have because I love the shape of it, flowy and comfortable, and I love the print and color. I thought it would look good with the boots and a big brown belt.
There are two dresses I really really want still though, but they are from Modcloth and will take some saving up for, so we'll see, but they are quite pretty.

The first dress I'm in love with because of the lace and colors, it's so original and pretty for the Spring. The second dress is green, and perfect for my birthday, which is on St. Patty's Day, so of course I need a green dress for it. This is perfect I love the colors in it, and would have many uses. Hopefully I can get it before it's sold out :/
Anyway, I know I needed a post so I thought I'd share what I got and I can't wait to show it off! Hopefully the snow will go away so I can!

Ruffles Ruffles Everywhere!

This was my outfit yesterday, it was kind of a busy day, so I'm only updating now.
We went to dinner at Chipolte with the inlaws it was yummy. Then we went to the local mall and I ended up with a new shirt and skirt. I love them. But for this outfit I was going for girly mixed with more hardcore because the tights are ripped kind of and the skirt is a leather/satin mix. The blue floral top is a favorite because I think it's so pretty, it's from Target, and the tights are from Urban Outfitters. I don't know where the skirt is from and the cardigan, H&M brand, was thrifted. The shoes are a dark maroon, hard to see, with rose details, from Target.
Anyway, the past couple days I've been in deep thinking mode. Been going through some old messages from my hubby and I from years ago, we'd known each other forever before dating and then marrying. It's just interesting, the past.

Shoes!

It's funny how much things can change since my post of what I wanted. The dress on Ebay I got way outbid on. The shoes I decided I didn't want. But I did find a couple pairs I really liked, and I already ordered them and they are on their way.
Pair one...
My husband's favorite color is yellow. So, naturally, I have quite a few yellow things, and one of the reasons I had to get these. Plus, they are wedges. Wedges seem really in right now and are cute, and I don't have a pair so that's another reason I had to get these. I didn't get the other shoes, which were vintage and I thought hard to match stuff with, but these are a nice mix of vintage and modern I think. And for 12$ on sale, can't beat that :D
Pair two...
My hardcore pair. I do not have any wedges, so I was glad to find these, and they are kind of hardcore, more than light and girly and I NEED a pair like that, to go with my military attire, and some of my new outfit ideas. Like a floral dress with a leather jacket and these. But I also need a leather jacket :D Working on that...
I also bought a couple skinny belts, in light blue and white, so hopefully I can add them to my outfits soon.
Anyway I hope you like my new shoes. I already have a list of things I need for next week..

Military [wo]Man

Today is a really strange day for me. Everything has been off. I had a loungy day yesterday, so no outfit, and today I just couldn't think of a good outfit, so I was getting ready for another loungy day. My husband went on his lunch break late so that was off. I was going to shop online for some shoes, after all, there was a pair I'd wanted forever. But suddenly they didn't look as appealing as before. Odd. But then I got a really good idea for an outfit...
And then I started finding some good shoes. So at least everything kind of turned around. And I must say, this outfit, while being last minute, turned out really good in my opinion. I will definitely wear it again and I feel like everything pieced together well. The military jacket was a Christmas present from my mom, she's good at picking things out :] The lace and ruffle top is from Target from a while back and is totally a fav of mine to layer with. The shorts are old but worked well for this, if a little short. I will be investing in some new ones very soon :]
I am wearing tights, though you can't really tell, Vera Wang, nude with a little pattern. They looked more yellow in the packaging but oh well I like them. And of course my lace up booties are a big favorite of mine, from Forever 21. I really feel this outfit is perfect for the Spring and glad it turned out so well so last minute. Disregard the no make up :/ Like I said, off day. I will definitely be posting a post about the shoes I do end up getting though and anything else I do too, since my post about what I need is pretty much outdated since I've changed my mind on so much :P

Spring Colors!

I am definitely excited for Spring. It's kind of a bummer it's only January, but I've already started putting together outfits for the Spring, which includes accessories, which includes nail polish!
This was a nice treat for me, my husband and I were out grocery shopping and I picked these up. I love this brand, it's cheap and dries fast. And there's so many pretty colors. I got these four for the Spring [aka now lol]. They looked like Spring to me, and I went home and painted my nails purple to start, definitely in this Spring I've been noticing. My birthday, my 21st, is March 17th, St. Patty's Day, and green is my favorite color, so I am excited to wear this green. I love Spring and it's colors!
